The Community Service and Action Committee organizes a range of service opportunities for the church, raises money, and allocates the funds to different charities.
The purpose of International Mission Committee is to educate the congregation and allow for participation in international mission projects. This can include international partnerships.
The Congregational Care Committee shares in the celebrations and concerns of the congregation. It is a vital part of our community of faith – changing lives by responding to the special needs of our Immanuel family. The Committee’s primary focus is ministering to the individual needs of those in the congregation. The Committee has formed three teams comprised of a broad spectrum of the congregation, not just of committee members. These teams are: In-home Visitation Team; Calling/Emailing/Note Writing Team, Dinner Providing Team and Driving Assistance Team. These teams are meant to be helping hands to congregants in time of need such as following a hospital or rehab stay, a death in the family, or a birth of a child.
The Fellowship Committee helps create community and goodwill by hosting events that bring
our congregation together, such as fall and spring picnics and the Christmas Coffee.
The Membership Committee provides a welcoming point of entry for those wishing to learn more about being received as a member of Immanuel and represents the congregation at community events like McLean Day and Reston Pride.
