Mondays, 1:30 p.m., #202 • With a focus on growth in friendship and faith, this group leads and discusses a books about our Christian heritage and devotional life. We explore contemporary issues of faith and individual books of the Bible. We warmly welcome newcomers and visitors!

Tuesdays, 7:30-8:45 a.m., Assembly Hall • This small group meets weekly on Tuesday mornings to enjoy breakfast and study. Topics range from biblical studies, to theology issues, to books relating to faith and spiritual practice. Participants share in leading discussions and hosting breakfast. Contact: the church office.
Tuesdays, 1:00 p.m., Meeting House • This new small group will meet each Tuesday at 1, beginning Tuesday, October 23. It is open to all who want a caring place to share life’s challenges with others and receive and provide support in a group setting. If you are longing for a deeper life of prayer in community throughout life’s ups and downs, this could be just the group that you need. Each meeting will be led by one of Immanuel’s three pastors, and will include a scripture-based devotional, personal check-ins, and sharing of prayer celebrations and concerns. Tuesdays 10:30-11:45 a.m. Fellowship Hall • Feeling stuck in ‘fast forward?’ Come explore the mindful practice of yoga and enjoy slowing down and developing strength, flexibility and balance in your mind, body & spirit. This low-key and often light-hearted class is intended both for beginners and those with an on-going yoga practice. Fee: $15 per class. • New to Immanuel Yoga? Your first class is free! Experience a weekly reading of a meditation from a modern Christian mystic. These meditations are associated with an often tangible spiritual experience and sense of deep peacefulness. Facilitator Sue Johnston is a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher. She was an instructor at Georgetown University School of Medicine and the former Mind/Body Medicine Program Coordinator in Internal Medicine at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
