Making Room: Grocery Bags

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

Today’s eco-tip comes from Immanuel member Susan Gregory:

Are plastic bags weighing you down? Recycle plastic grocery bags at the grocery store – better yet use reusable bags. Plastic bags are not recyclable at the curb in Fairfax County.

Here’s a prayer for today:

Strong and Steady One
We do carry more than we can hold
We find fictive strength in our clinging
Loosen our grasp
So that we can claim what matters
And rest fully in you
Amen
