Service Saturday- Family Edition! Reading Partners Book Giveaway + Pizza
This Service Saturday is designed for Immanuel children to share the joy of reading with our friends at Reading Partners. Reading Partners provides one-on-one literacy tutoring to 925 students at 19 partner schools across Washington, DC. Immanuelite children who sign up, along with their parent/guardian, are invited to come and pick out books to send to Reading Partners to help build their students’ home libraries! We will have a broad selection of k-2 wish-list books on site for Immanuelite children to choose from as we seek to share the joy of reading with our neighbors. There is NO COST to Immanuelite children to participate in the book selection fun, as Community Service & Action Committee has funded this Service Saturday event. Sign up here to share the joy of reading—and then stay for pizza and help us make Valentines’ cards for our friends at Chesterbrook Residences too!
