Christmas Eve Illuminated! Drive-Thru Scripture, Instrumentals, & Luminaries

Join us Thursday, December 24th from 5:30-7:30pm!

For many of us, Christmas Eve services are among our most treasured experiences at Immanuel.  Of course, this year everything is different. Except those things that never change…like the story of how God enters our world and our everyday lives through the birth of the Christ child, Jesus. That reality remains true and dependable, no matter what. This year, we’ll celebrate Jesus’ entry into our world and our lives in a unique worship experience that we hope you can participate in.

We will have a drive-thru illuminated worship service on the IPC campus!  Each family will stay in their vehicles as you drive around the luminaria-lit IPC parking lot tuning in on your car radio to hear scriptures read by Pastor Aaron and Pastor Katie, along with “Silent Night” played on the harp.

Along your drive, you’ll see live nativity characters alongside an illuminated manger scene, and you’ll hear live instrumentals on guitar, bells, and accordion, along with recorded Christmas carols throughout. (There will be a yummy treat for you as you depart each ‘station,’ too!)

The service will run from 5:30 pm-7:30 pm, and we will divide the congregation into time-slots by last name, so that the traffic can flow more easily in the parking lot.  Watch the E-Presence for additional details regarding this special service and please consider how you might participate by acting out a part or helping to set up or tear down the luminaries, just as we have volunteer readers, ushers, and Advent Candle lighters at our traditional Christmas Eve services.
