Getting to Know Lucy Brown
We’re excited to welcome Lucy Brown as Immanuel’s new Church Secretary. Below, we asked her a few introductory questions. Stop by the church office during the week and give Lucy a big “welcome” or send her an email at lbrown@ipcmclean.org.

Q: If you were mayor for the day, what three things would you change about your city?
A: Traffic: compulsory use of signals, turning one’s head before merging, and lessons on how to drivecorrectly in all kinds of precipitation.
Q: What is your favorite smell? What memory does it remind you of?
A: Lilacs – a bush at my childhood home my sister and I used to play in.
What’s the worst haircut you’ve ever had?
A: Just one? I couldn’t settle on one in high school and have the class pictures to prove it
Q: Which storybook/cartoon character is your favorite?
A: Most any character from Alice in Wonderland. Listened to LP’s as a toddler and can recite (with a British accent).
Q: Choose a movie title for the story of your life.
A: “The Life of a Northeast Kingdom Girl” ([Northeast Kingdom is the three northeastern-most counties in Vermont].
Q: What was your favorite toy as a kid?
A: A stuffed teddy bear that I got when in kindergarten. Loved him and had him until our house burned down when I was 11.
Q: How old is the oldest pair of shoes in your closet?
A: Not sure but am pretty certain it would be one of the pairs that once belonged to my mother who died in 2013.
Q: Can you play any instruments?
A: Viola, piano (trained – Jill of all trades…), harmonica (sort of)
Q: What is the oldest thing in your refrigerator?
A: Lettuce – liquefied. Mom would be so proud…not.
Q: What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
A: Not sure it’s nerdy, but jigsaw puzzles
Q: What is a hidden talent that you have?
A: Not sure they’re hidden, but crochetting, sign language, proofing/editing, harmonizing (and the beat goes on)
