Immanuel’s International Mission Committee is sponsoring a trip for up to 12 people to visit Argentina and Uruguay. The primary purpose of the trip is to focus on the role of the church in the face of the struggle to preserve human rights and to promote creation care. We will worship with local churches, meet with leaders, study scripture, and look for new ways to support our neighbors in South America. Also, we will learn about the history and culture by visiting museums, eating traditional foods, touring historic churches, perusing artisan markets, visiting a colonial town, and taking in a Tango show.
The total estimated cost of the trip is $2,200-3,000 (depending on airfare), which includes all transportation as well as all food and lodging. Deadline to register is Sunday, February 9th. To learn more about the trip, attend the informational forum on Sunday, January 26th, following the morning worship service, in Room 203 of the Meeting House.
