QUARTERLY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES

newServSun

Join us once a quarter for morning or evening worship followed by a hands-on mission project! Many hands make light work!

Once a quarter, our Community Service & Action Committee provides approximately $1,500 in supplies for the congregation to package, sort, or make-and-take. Projects include making disaster clean-up kits for Church World Service distribution, creating “welcome home” supplies kits for Ukrainian refugee families resettling in Northern Virginia, packaging take-home meals for summer school students in Falls Church facing food insecurity, making “blessing bags” for Immanuelites to distribute along their daily commutes to our neighbors experiencing homelessness, and more.

Immanuel youth host seasonal parties and provide summer tutoring for our friends from Langley Residential Support Services (LRSS). LRSS serves adults with intellectual disabilities, their families and our communities by providing quality residential and community support services that enable these individuals to live valued, productive lives.  Contact Pastor Emma for more information!
