NEW! Interfaith Community Garden

Categories: Church,Events

In partnership with gardeners from Temple Rodef Shalom, Immanuel is starting a community garden to benefit Share.  Many of you have expressed interest and now is the time to sign up.  We need volunteers to help with the following dates.
July, August, September: Gardeners-of-the-Week

We need 2 people to volunteer each week as Gardener-of-the-Week. Sign up here to volunteer. No prior gardening experience needed-all gardeners of the week should plan to attend the training on August 6th at 3pm regardless of prior gardening experience.

Sunday, August 6th at 3:00pm– Garden Blessing and Kick-Off
Bring-Your-Own Picnic & Training Day for Gardeners-of-the-Week
Whether or not you plan to be a gardener-of-the-week, bring your own picnic and enjoy the company of fellow gardeners from Immanuel and Temple Rodef Shalom! Garden leaders from both congregations will teach gardeners of all skill levels how to tend, harvest, weigh, and transport produce to SHARE during their gardening week(s).
No prior experience needed!  If you sign up to be a gardener-of-the-week at any point, please plan to attend this training event.
The Share Food Pantry provided more than 900 bags of groceries on average per month to 337 families with 1,000 household members.  The pantry relies on donations, and we’re going to provide all the fresh vegetables we can grow.
